Back Country Outfitter's Lodge is located on the Southwest Coast, near Port aux Basques on the island of Newfoundland. We are conveniently located just minutes from the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal. For those travelling from out of the province or country, we are reachable by two methods of transporation.
By Air

Back Country Lodge is approximately 3.5 hours drive from Deer Lake International airport.

By Water
Marine Atlantic Ferry
 Back Country Outfitters is conveniently located in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland, Canada, home of the province's main link to mainland Canada. It has been said that half the fun is getting here! Marine Atlantic's modern vehicle super ferries also accommodate recreational vehicles (ATV's) all year round from North Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada to Port aux Basques in southwestern Newfoundland, Canada. Marine Atlantic ferries offer a wide variety of onboard accommodations and features, including deluxe cabins, dormitory sleepers, full meal and beverage service, live entertainment, movies, and children's activity programs. Check with Marine Atlantic for departure time of the ferry. Reservations on Marine Atlantic ferries should be booked for the Friday or Saturday night crossing before your hunt, and should be booked well in advanced, as well as return reservations should be made for the Saturday night after your hunt.

Once you have reach Port aux Basques our experieced guides will take you to our lodge which is located approx. 3 hours from civilization to the untouched nature of Newfoundland, where you will experience wildlife in its natural habitat.
